In Myanmar, our nonprofit partner FXB International welcomes 80 to 150 young people from disadvantaged families each year in the Professional Training Center to improve their access to education and promote self-sufficiency. Many of the children are orphans and were trapped in prostitution prior to using our services.
So far, 70% of their graduates have found a job at the end of their professional training, while 20% have set up their own enterprises, and the other 10% have resumed their secondary education. All of the students are aware of their workers’ rights.
Education is the only way for these children to break out of the cycle of poverty. Help us end the vicious cycle of poverty. With your support, more young people will receive quality education and professional training in Myanmar.
